During this module I have had to attend a wide variety of sessions, from studio sessions, seminars and lectures as well, which I think I have attended pretty much all of everything, so have had the most opportunity for feedback and to learn about the different aspects of this module.
The lectures were only at the first part of the year, and some of them I thought were relevant to my course, however I thought some were a bit too far linked to the course, and the connection I felt wasn't explained enough for the lectures to be of direct use. I thought the seminars we had on each of the topic areas we could write our essay on were of so much more use to me as the link between them and the work we were going to produce were a lot more clear and directly of use. I also thought the tutorials we had to discuss our progress on our work so far was really helpful as I got to have an in depth talk about what I thought was going well, and if there was anything I should change or doesn't work as well. This helped my essay and practical outcome to develop in the right direction.
For my essay I think I have gotten on with producing it quite efficiently, as I wrote the main bulk of it for the draft submission earlier in the year, so that when it has come to the final submission all I had to do was the small changes I had to make, such as to reference things properly and tighten up the introduction and conclusion, also possibly adding photographs as well. This meant that I had a lot of time to focus on my practical outcome and other work I had to finish for the course.
For the practical aspect I had a bit of trouble getting my idea across just as I wanted to, so that it is clear but also represents the main point I am making. I also found it hard to look like the product I was producing it for, such as to look like actual playing cards, as my idea didn't lend itself well to that pattern style.
In all I feel I have worked hard on this module, although I wish I had done more work slightly earlier, or focused more during the last weekend I had to work on this brief so that I was finished the day before the deadline day, rather than on the day.
